Iโ€™m linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I didn’t get as much done this week as I wanted to reading-wise, but I’m querying a novel and that takes so much time and research and that’s been taking up most of my free time!

I was also featured inย Double The Books magazine, as their book blogger of the month! So their feature number 11 has that interview in it ๐Ÿ˜€ Check it out!

I managed two reviews this week (click on the picture to see the review):

I reviewed When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon, which I really enjoyed.

And Jane of Austin, which is a Sense and Sensibilities re-telling, which was such a bummer. Started out so promising and ended up flopping for me.

I was also tagged by Jo-ann atย Inspiration Pie to do a mid-year wrap up! And you can find that post here!

I’m reading three ARCs from NetGalley. As You Wish by Chelsea Sedotti, which I really enjoy! I’m about 70% of the way done, so review will probably come soon. I also have The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (Iโ€™m having a hard time getting into this one) and Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance by Ruth Emmie Lang (which I haven’t made a ton of progress on, either.)

I hope everyone has a great week!

You had an amazing week, Savannah! Blogger of the month…thats awesome!
What does it mean when you say you were querying a novel…is this a novel you’re writing?
    Have a great week!

    1. Savanah says:

      Thank you!!
Yeah it means I wrote a novel, and I’m now trying to find a literary agent for it ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Ohh I saw that Jane of Austin on blogging for books and wasn’t sure, quite glad I didn’t choose it.

    1. Savanah says:

That’s where I got it! It started so good and I had such high hopes and then, just, blah.

  3. I will check out the magazine feature. Your upcoming books all look good. I am curious about As You Wish. Is it magical realism?

    1. Savanah says:

Yeah it is! It’s a tiny dessert town where everyone gets to make a wish on their eighteenth birthday. It’s not bad! I’m very nearly done, so I’m sure I’ll have a more thorough review done by next week’s wrap up!

It’s so awesome you were featured ๐Ÿ™‚ you just started your blog and you’re already doing all those crazy things ๐Ÿ˜€ amazing!
I feel very pessimistic about blogging today. Didn’t even feel like doing my Sunday update -.- just this kind of mood, I guess.
Too bad you didn’t like the retelling :/ I’m curious about Dimple, so I’ll check that out ๐Ÿ™‚
Oh yeah, and check out my last review, it’s about Williams syndrome and I’m sure you’ll be interested in that ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Savanah says:

      Thank you!!
I totally get it :/ we all have those days, unfortunately. I’ll check out your review now!

  5. Hay, congrats you beautiful blogger of the month!!! It’s great when you don’t get much done BECAUSE of a good reason! Good luck with you querying!

    1. Savanah says:

Thank you!! I definitely agree haha. It’s nice not to be going, “Okay, I know I got nothing important done, but what was I doing?”

  6. Greg says:

Congrats on the magazine feature! And good luck with the querying as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

As You Wish looks very interesting!

    1. Savanah says:

      Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah it’s not bad! It’s mostly from the voice of a kid who is a month away from getting his wish, and those chapters are good. But then occasionally it changes voice and everything to talk about the other wishers in town, usually much older people and what they wished and why, and those chapters are excellent.
