I’m linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This week I’m really excited because it’s just now been almost a month since I started blogging! I am really loving it; it’s been great to meet other bloggers and nerd out about books which is my absolute favorite thing to do. SO MUCH LOVE to Evalina at Avalinah’s Books for being so helpful and amazing and my first new book blogging friend <3
I also made the ill-fated decision to re-arrange my books right before bed, got exhausted not even a quarter of the way through, and ended up throwing everything back together less than eloquently (after the books sat, semi-organized, on the floor for two days) so now I can’t find anything.
I’m trying to catch up, because I’m still 3 behind to make my yearly reading goal, according to Goodreads. But May was a pretty average reading month. Here’s to a better June!
This week has been really exciting! I bought One Of Us Is Lying and When Dimple Met Rishi, two releases I was really excited for!
I also received an ARC in the mail from Jen Klein, who had read my review of her book Shuffle, Repeat, and asked me to review this also! She sent me signed bookmarks from Shuffle, Repeat, which I ADORED so I’m dying of happiness and feel so honored to have connected with her!
I did two reviews (click on the pictures to see the reviews):
One of One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus, which I had mixed feelings on! I loved the twist (the review has no spoilers, promise 😉
The Wildling Sisters by Eve Chase, which I received an ARC of from Penguin’s First To Read program, and I did not love at all. Sadly, my first review for them had to be a little less than pleasant.
I’m going to start Summer Unscripted by Jen Klein and When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon! I am SO stoked for these two!
I also have ARC’s from NetGalley, but I have fifty days on those and I’m not as excited for them, so they’re taking the back burner! The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (I read the first chapter and I’m not yet particularly enamored with Hector, our protagonist, which may be causing some of the meh feelings.) And Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance by Ruth Emmie Lang.
I hope everyone has a great week and meets all their June reading goals!
